Metra bridge replacement forum on March 29

Metra will resume work next month on a major project to replace 22 aging bridges along the Union Pacific North Line.

The project was originally scheduled to begin last fall but was postponed when riders complained about schedule changes.

Metra revised the plan and is promising to keep its current schedule when work begins this spring.

There will be a public forum on the matter coming up on March 29 to review the plans with riders.
