Schools offering healthier chocolate milk

Some school districts are trying out healthy versions of chocolate milk in an effort to curb childhood obesity.

Even though milk has vitamins and calcium, some dietary experts say chocolate milk can be loaded with high fructose corn syrup, sugar and fat.

Some schools are trying a new version sweetened with sucrose from beets and sugar cane.

Compared to a typical half pint of chocolate milk, which has 170 calories and 28 grams of sugar, the new milk has 150 calories and 22 grams of sugar.
