Survey: Americans ill-informed about benefits of red wine

A new survey by the American Heart Association shows many Americans are ill-informed about the possible health benefits of red wine.

Of the 1,000 adults who took the survey, 76 percent acknowledged red wine can be good for the heart, but only 30 percent knew the recommended limits for daily wine consumption -- which are about 8 ounces of wine for men and 4 ounces for women.

The American Heart Association advises drinking too much wine -- or any kind of alcohol -- can increase blood pressure and lead to other health problems.
