Sources tell ABC7 that Chicago union officials will recommend $250 million of budget cuts to Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Officials say money can be saved by laying off managers from many city departments.

This comes amid reports that the cement mason's union have agreed to changes in work rules that the mayor said was needed to avoid union layoffs.

More details of the union recommendations will be unveiled Tuesday.
