Books from Borders donated to CPS

September 12, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Hilco Trading is a Northbrook-based liquidation company that is taking part in Borders' going-out-of business sale. Hilco made the donation.

The company says the books are "academic quality" and worth about $130,000.

Officials say about half the books have been delivered to the CPS warehouse.

The rest are expected Wednesday.

Borders filed for bankruptcy and is closing all of its stores.
