The city's Inspector General recently suggested a number of ways to increase revenue for the city. They include a toll on Lake Shore Drive, a tax on commuters and a fee on vehicles coming into the central business district during rush hour.
While Mayor Rahm Emanuel won't deliver his budget to the City Council until later this week, he has already dismissed some of these ideas.
But the inspector general's office says his report is a starting point and has people talking.
