Salvage companies descended on Chicago's lakefront Friday to get a look at a number of docked boats damaged after high winds.

Salvage companies are set to start their work Saturday and work through next week.

Insurance companies for boat owners are expected to pay for the salvage work and damages to the boats.

The water near the Museum Campus is littered with debris.

The worst damage was at Monroe Harbor.

Officials are calling it the worst they have seen in more than 25 years.
