CTA worker rescued after machinery malfunction

October 21, 2011 (CHICAGO)

An inspection on the "L" tracks on the South Side when his machinery malfunctioned. The Chicago Fire Department had to rescue the worker and that caused a traffic tie-up at 18th and Clark.

It is not clear what caused the equipment to malfunction.

The worker was not injured.
