Firefighters battle blaze in Minonk

Authorities are searching for the cause of a fire that burned through the downtown of a small Illinois town.

Twelve fire departments responded to the fire which broke out around 4:15 a.m. in Minonk, Illinois. That is northeast of Peoria.

Several buildings were damaged but no people were injured.

At one point, twelve different fire departments were on scene battling the blaze. Water had to be trucked in and high winds hampered the effort.
