Mary Todd documents given to Lincoln museum

October 31, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The original documents detailing her commitment have been in the Cook County Circuit Clerk's records in a public file for more than 130 years.

On Monday, during a ceremony in a courtroom at the Daley Center, those historical documents were handed over to the director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

The papers will eventually be put on public display at the museum.
