Quinn greeted riders, veterans and their families at the 13th annual Manteno Veterans Ride. The motorcycle ride started at the Tinley Park Convention Center Sunday morning.
Every rider was asked to make a donation to Manteno, which is the largest veterans' home in the Chicago area.
"Whatever conflict we must say thank you and make sure there is decent health care and a good education," Quinn said.
Quinn says there are more than a million veterans in Illinois.
