City Council considers taxing all tobacco products

In another move to raise revenues, Chicago's City Council is considering expanding the city's cigarette tax.

The tax will apply to other tobacco products, not just to cigarettes.

Supporters of the tax increase believe it will raise enough revenues to ease Mayor Rahm Emanuel's proposed cuts to the libraries, mental health clinics and 911 dispatchers
