It happened at about 4 a.m. Sunday on the inbound lanes near Kedzie.
Police say a car carrying four people struck a concrete wall. Police say none of them were wearing a seatbelt.
The driver, Antwuan Alexander, 21, was taken to a hospital where he later died. Three other people suffered minor injuries.
