Homeless line up to get housing in Englewood

Dozens of homeless people lined up early Tuesday morning in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood for a chance at a new home.

They gathered at the Englewood apartments on 63rd Street to get on a so-called 'Samaritan project' waitlist.

Some people got in line as early as 1 a.m. to get a voucher for a studio apartment. To qualify they had to be chronically homeless and disabled.

Applicants will get to move into an apartment once one becomes available.
