The house being called the most significant residence in Rockford, Ill. is going up for auction.

The Laurent House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1948 when Wright responded to a request from a paraplegic World War II veteran to build a wheelchair accessible home.

Ken and Phyllis Laurent have been living in the home ever since, but now, they're moving into assisted living.

Friends of the couple are hoping to place the winning bid and turn the home into a museum.
