A suburban Burbank man could face up to 20 years in prison for trying to open the door of a plane in mid-flight.

Reynel Alcaide, 34, pleaded guilty Friday, to interference with flight crew members and attendants. He was on a Continental airlines flight traveling from Houston to Chicago last May when he repeatedly tried to open an exit door.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Saint Louis.

Alcaide will be sentenced in March.
