Attorneys for Charles Smith say the 50-year-old suffered broken bones to his face and he lost some teeth during the scuffle with officers. They are the same attorneys who filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday claiming North Chicago police brutalized Darrin Hanna who died last month.
North Chicago police deny excessive force in both cases.
