Cheerleaders from Riverside Brookfield High School presented hundreds of toys they collected. The school got involved after Schicker drew a flyer. She shared it with a neighbor who is a cheerleader at the high school.
Schicker told ABC7 just what she wrote on the flyer that inspired this effort.
"It said, please help me make sick kids' holidays bright by giving toys for Christmas," she said.
Schicker chose Children's Memorial because she had surgery there as a baby.
