Claudia Mejia, 36, is charged with attempted murder. She is being held on $2 million bond.
Police found a 9-month-old boy stabbed in the head in a home in Harvard on Friday morning. The infant was treated by Harvard paramedics and later airlifted to a hospital in Rockford.
It's unclear what the relationship is between Mejia and the baby.
