Smiling more could stave off strokes

Stroke is the number one leading cause of death in the U.S. Heart disease is the number 1 killer.

A growing body of evidence shows staying positive may help prevent that too. Plus, heart patients who are optimistic about their treatment and recovery are more likely to live longer than patients with lower expectations.

Duke University researchers say you're not going to go from 'Debbie or Donnie Downer' to Pollyanna over night but you can learn to think more positively.
