Police across the suburbs responded to a number of spinouts because of icy roads.

Slick roads may be to blame for an accident in west suburban Brookfield. An SUV lost control and slammed into a home at 31st and Forest. No one was hurt.

State police also briefly shut down the ramp from northbound I-55 to northbound I-355 after two accidents. No one was seriously hurt in the crashes there.

And in northwest suburban Des Plaines, the weather is being blamed for an accident involving a hotel transport van and a pickup truck on Elmhurst Road near I-90. The van was taking guests to O'Hare International Airport. Seven people were hurt.
