Dozens of Chicago residents could be without heat for a while after a boiler exploded in the basement of an apartment building.

Those living in the building in the 200-block of North Kilbourn said they felt and heard the blast, but there was no fire.

The explosion happened early Wednesday. The building houses approximately 40 people.

No one was hurt in the boiler explosion.

There was no time estimate on when the heat will be restored.
