So on Friday, February 24, 2012, the American Heart Association (link: americanheart.org) is hosting the first-ever "Go Red for Women Community Expo." (link: www.ChicagoGoRedforWomen.org) ABC7 is a media sponsor.
The free event offers heart-health screenings, interactive workshops on nutrition and exercise, and take-home resources. Walk-ins are welcome, but women are encouraged to register.
Dr. Savitri E. Fedson from the University of Chicago Medical Center joined us in our ABC7 studio to talk about the health risks, warning signs and the expo.
