Childhood leukemia survival rates have reached 90 percent.

A reassuring new study in the Journal of Clinical Oncology finds children with the most common type of leukemia now have a dramatically better chance of survival.

Five year survival rates were 90 percent for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Doctors say this was a disease that was incurable 50 years ago.
