Vote count completed by Board of Elections

The Chicago Board of Elections completed the vote count Wednesday.

The ballots came from precincts where the cartridges that help the votes failed or where election officials weren't able to transmit the results. The problems occurred in 18 precincts.

Officials say failure to count up to three percent of ballots on election night is normal. The final counting was done at the board's Chicago warehouse.
