Hard boiled Eggs: Easter-ready hard-boiled eggs

April 6, 2012 (CHICAGO)

1. Put eggs in single layer in saucepan. Add COLD water to cover them completely with an inch of water over the top.

2. Turn stovetop to high. As soon as the water hits boiling, turn the burner off and remove the saucepan. Leave large eggs in hot water for about 12 minutes (a little longer for extra large eggs).

3. Drain eggs and cool under cold water. Ready to refrigerate -- or decorate!
