A northwest suburban high school honored a student who was killed in Mexico last December.

On Tuesday morning, a tree was planted in the Memorial Garden of Rolling Meadows High School.

Alexis Marron, 18, was in Mexico at Christmas time visiting family when his body was found in the trunk of a burned out car in central Mexico.

The remains of two other men were also in the trunk.

Marron was a senior at Rolling Meadows High School where he was involved in athletics.
