A toddler was ejected from an SUV after the vehicle collided with a school bus in Naperville.

The child was airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in critical condition.

No students were on the Indian Prairie School District bus, officials said, when it crashed around 9:20 a.m. at Lapp Lane and 248th Avenue near the Aurora border.

A woman and a second child in the SUV, as well as the school bus driver, were taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV had to be extricated from the wreckage after it landed upside down in a ditch.

The bus crashed into a tree.
