No injuries were reported in the incident, which happened on the ground around 1:10 p.m. just after American Eagle Flight 4265 from Springfield, Missouri, had landed and arrived at Gate G-20. The pilot was about to turn off the seatbelt sign when the Embraer 140 suddenly shifted 40-feet to the right.
"All of a sudden, I was three seats back, and the front of the airplane went to the right like this, and I didn't know what happened. No sound, no panic. It was like this, like you were slipping on ice," Bruce Wirtz MacArthur, passenger, said.
The regional jet had been clipped by the wing of an EVA cargo plane that was taxiing before take-off. It was headed to Anchorage, Alaska.
The 18 passengers on board the American Eagle flight deplaned without incident, along with the three crewmembers.
Damage to the aircraft is being assessed. The NTSB is investigating.
