A lawsuit has been filed against a suburban school district by parents of a child who they say was burned in a classroom.

The alleged incident happened in November 2011 at the Hope D. Wall Elementary School in West Aurora.

The suit claims a teacher left a cup of hot tea on a desk in a room with special needs children, and a 3-year-old child knocked the tea over and suffered third degree burns.

A spokesperson for West Aurora School District 129 will not comment on the lawsuit.
