Nancy Stofko of Hammond was charged with wire fraud. Prosecutors say she took more than $185,000 from Complete Valve Repair Services.
The company has offices in Portage and La Porte. Stofko worked there as an office manager.
As part of a plea agreement, Stofko admitted to writing herself checks from the company.
Prosecutors say she used the money to buy electronics, gas, food and other personal items.
