Poll: Voters favor pension reform

A new poll shows Illinois voters strongly favor reform in the pension system for public sector workers.

The Crain's Chicago Business survey found 57 percent say state employees should contribute more to their pension accounts.

But other reform ideas got less support.

Just under half favor raising the retirement age to 67.

And voters are about evenly split on whether workers should lose their retirement health care unless they pay more for it.
