New York fugitive caught in Chicago

July 8, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Ronnell Jones was pulled over last month during a traffic stop on Western Avenue.

He was arrested on alcohol and weapons charges.

The 23-year-old was once featured on the show in connection with a 2010 double murder case in Yonkers, NY.

A finger print analysis and Google search led police to discover that Jones was a fugitive.

"Google is out there and it's a tool to be used," said Cmdr. Kevin Ryan of Chicago Police Gang Enforcement. "So we do use it because what may not initially come up - like I said, it takes a while for the finger prints to clear - why not throw his name in and see what pops. We do it all the time."

Police say it's unclear why Jones was in Chicago.

He was indicited on the local charges last week and is still at the Cook County Jail.
