On Sunday, Julie Ketter's daughter was walking the dog when a pit bull jumped a fence and attacked the girl and the dog.
Ketter's pet was killed and the girl was bitten and scratched and another girl was bitten.
The pit bull's owner Oscar Munez, 21, received multiple citations.
But Ketter says the dog is dangerous and more should be done.
"What I think needs to be done is the dog should be removed. These kids are traumatized. My daughter has nightmares. We've had a rough past couple of days," said Julie Ketter.
The incident is being investigated by DuPage County Animal Control.
