Gay rights supporters hold 'kiss in' at Chick-fil-A in Chicago

August 3, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The company's owner, Dan Cathy, has said he opposes same sex marriage.

That prompted Alderman Joe Moreno to say he would not back Chick-fil-A's plan to expand in Chicago.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel said the owner's values are not Chicago's values.

One protestor said Friday night that he does not expect those to change.

"Kissing won't change this company. Kissing won't change anyone who's against us. Kissing will only let our allies know don't buy a sandwich here. Don't give them any more money," said Richard Streetman.

Earlier this week, Chick-fil-A set a sales record when customers turned out to show their support for the company.
