No parole for Oregon killer of Wheaton couple

September 26, 2012 (WHEATON, Ill.)

Oregon's state board of parole and post-prison supervision has ruled that Andrew Metz is not likely to be rehabilitated.

Back in 1991, Duncan and Ellen McKinnon were staying at a hotel in the resort town of Seaside. They apparently surprised Metz during what police say was an attempted burglary and were stabbed to death in their hotel room.

The new ruling prevents Metz from seeking early parole from his 60-year sentence.
