North Side church celebrates 125th anniversary

The senior choir of Hermon Baptist Church took members on a musical journey through history Saturday night.

The church was founded in 1887 by 13 men and women who started out traveling from house to house to sing hymns.

Hermon Baptist Church is believed to be the oldest African American church in Chicago.
