Milk allergy solution may be on way

A solution may be in the works for people who are allergic to cow's milk.

Scientists have found milk produced from a genetically modified calf does not contain BLG, the protein believed to trigger allergies.

Scientists say it's the first time they have altered milk's protein composition before it leaves the cow.

The research is outlined in an article in the proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
