Chicago has a new deal with one of the CTA's labor unions. The one-year deal covers about 70 members of Iron Workers Union Local 1.

Officials say the agreement will cut overtime, allow the agency flexibility in scheduling shifts, and clear the way for a faster schedule of train line repairs.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says this will help decrease the number of slow zones.
