Wal-Mart workers extended a strike to 12 cities on Wednesday, including Chicago.

The protests are headed by the group called United Food and Commercial Workers Making Change at Wal-Mart.

They're calling for higher wages and protection against union-busters.

Protest officials warn that they'll stage a massive walk-out on Black Friday if Wal-Mart won't negotiate.

The strike, which started last Friday, is the first in Wal-Mart's history.
