Students will be back in class Monday. School will not be in session Friday.
Both the Evergreen Park School District 124 and the teachers' federation have agreed not to release or talk about the details of their contract until each has ratified it.
Teachers picketed to express their discontent with the school district beginning on October 2. The eight-day strike kept roughly 1,800 students at five schools out of the classroom.
Negotiations began in April.
The teachers' contract expired June 30.
Some of the major sticking points were not only pay, but also health benefits and the issue of insurance benefits as well.
The district superintendent previously had said the main sticking point was retirement benefits.
