CTA bus drivers graduate in preparation for Red Line closures

CTA bus drivers who will shuttle passengers when the Red Line closes south of Roosevelt for five months graduated on Monday.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel, CTA President Forest Claypool and Chairman Terry Peterson congratulated the men and women. They are the second class of new drivers hired for the upcoming CTA Red Line South Reconstruction Project.

The CTA is hiring 400 new drivers who will operate free shuttle buses when the Red Line South of Roosevelt closes for five months next spring.
