The Chicago Film Festival honored Helen Hunt with a lifetime achievement award on Saturday night.

The Oscar-winning actress greeted fans and the press on the red carpet at the AMC River East.

In addition to the tribute to her career, Hunt presented her new movie The Sessions to the audience. The provocative drama based on a true story is getting rave reviews and Hunt believes it's some of her very best work.

"That's the beauty, to make little tiny movies like this one and help people know about them," she said.

Festival founder Michael Kutza joined Hunt for the event. The Sessions opens in Chicago next week and it's already stirring up Oscar buzz.
