Man rescued from Lake Michigan after fall from rocks near Shedd Aquarium

A man is recovering from a broken arm after he was rescued from Lake Michigan Friday morning.

Police say the man was standing on the rocks by the Shedd Aquarium in the 1200-block of South Lake Shore Drive when he slipped into the water and broke his arm.

Chopper 7 HD was above the dark scene at around 6:30 Friday morning when the Chicago Police Department Marine Unit pulled the man out of the water.

The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
