An elderly woman was seriously injured when a fire broke out in her house on the city's Far South Side.At least one of the woman's granddaughters were at church when the fire broke out just before 11 a.m. Sunday. Another woman who says she is also the woman's granddaughter said she and some neighbors were trying to get the woman out.
A neighbor and another relative happened to be dropping by when they saw smoke and helped.
