Indiana State Police are investigating whether a tailgating driver may have played a role in a van crash involving a high school basketball team near the Illinois state line.

A player and volunteer coach from Hammond's City Baptist High School remained hospitalized Saturday with head trauma.

As ABC7 Chicago, first reported on its news broadcast at 10 p.m. Thursday, the team van was traveling from a tournament in Crown Point, Ind., when it rolled over at the Cline Avenue freeway interchange.
