Authorities believe a woman arrested in north suburban Winnetka is part of an identity theft ring that runs out of Florida.

Molly Meiring, 35, of Fort Lauderdale, is charged with identity theft and forgery. Winnetka police say she tried to cash a forged check on Thursday at the Northern Trust Bank. She was arrested after being recognized by a teller; Meiring was a suspect in another forged check cashing and the bank had made a flyer. Police were called while she was at the drive-thru.

Bond was set at $35,000 for Meiring. She will appear in court on December 10.
