Drivers in a South Dakota town are being urged to put down the cell phone and the sandwich.

The city of Huron has approved a tough new ban on "distracted driving."

Under a new law, drivers can be ticketed for eating, reading the newspaper or putting on make-up while behind the wheel.

Texting while driving is also considered a primary violation.

Offenders will be fined $100.
