The Broadway smash ''Book of Mormon'' opens for previews Tuesday night at the Bank of America Theatre in the Loop.

It's a musical by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone about two mismatched Mormon missionaries assigned to Africa.

Stone and Parker first thought "Book of Mormon" would be a film. They say it will probably come to the big screen -- one day.

The musical's Chicago run is scheduled to run until the beginning of June but could be extended.
