Fifty-one-year-old Michael Karabatsis is accused of being one of three men who broke into the home last April.
Police say the homeowners, a couple in their 60's, were beaten and duct-taped during the robbery.
The painting was discovered for sale on consignment at a shop in Morton Grove.
